Commercial LED Floodlight Installation for Distribution Depot

We worked with a local distribution centre in Birkenhead to assist with an emergency call out with their LED floodlights, which was causing further electrical issues and impacting their operations. The job required stripping out and replacing cabling with new cabling, replacing their existing floodlights and installing new LED floodlights.

Client Brief

Calor Gas contacted us on an emergency call-out as their outdoor LED floodlights were faulty due to an accident with a forklift damaging cabling. The time clock for the outdoor lighting would cause the electrical circuit to trip, causing further issues with their operations and requiring immediate assistance.

For a distribution depot, LED floodlights are paramount for their operations, due to nighttime deliveries and ensuring that operations can proceed safely and properly, and provide security lighting for potential thieves.

Our Solutions

To solve their outdoor lighting issues, we recommended replacing the current cabling with brand-new cabling and replacing the lights with modern, reliable lighting sources.

Firstly, we stripped out the old cabling and replaced it with brand-new cabling to provide a consistent electrical supply for the outdoor lighting. The new cabling was fitted to be compliant with current industry standards, avoiding any hazardous risk and ensuring that it was safe for use by employees at Calor Gas.

We then replaced and upgraded the old lighting with brand-new LED lighting. Installing LED lighting was beneficial as it is an energy-efficient alternative to traditional lighting, saving Calor Gas more money on their lighting throughout the night.

When installing the new cabling, we positioned them to reduce the risk of future mechanical damage from vehicles and avoid future issues.
