Commercial LED Lighting Installation for Primary School

We replaced old flourescent tubes and installed brand new LED lighting for a local primary school on the Wirral to help reduce their energy spending overheads and provide consistent, reliable lighting for staff and students.

The project took just under 4 days to complete, which required our team to safely install brand-new LED fixtures across various areas of the school and replace old fluorescent tubes to provide the school with efficient lighting throughout the year.

Client Brief

The local primary school on the Wirral was looking for brand new commercial LED lighting to be supplied and instlaled for its classrooms. We were contacted by the client as they wanted to update their lighting to an energy-efficient alternative to their original traditional lighting, in order to reduce their energy spending and provide reliable lighting for students and staff to enhance productivity throughout the day.

Our Solutions

Property Survey

Our electrical engineers visited the primary school to survey the building’s lighting layout and electrical setup to identify the best route of action before proceeding with the LED lighting installation.

Our engineers visited the property and thoroughly surveyed all of their classrooms to see where new LED lighting fixtures can be installed safely. Firstly, reviewing the wiring configuration in each room and identifying the best installation methods for the LED lighting so that the job is completed safely and properly, ensuring that each room is provided with reliable lighting with no electrical issues.

We also assessed the requirements for the LED lighting, looking at what LED lighting fixtures were best suited to ensure that lighting was provided across all areas of the rooms and what LED bulb colour temperatures were appropriate to ensure maximum productivity for the students.

Replacement and LED Installation

Our engineers visited the property with our LED lighting supplies outside of classroom hours to avoid disturbing classroom learning and ensure that safety guidelines are followed at all times.

Using our electrical equipment, our team of qualified engineers got to work by replacing the original fluorescent lighting tubes with the new installs across each of the classrooms in the school. This involved safely removing the old fixtures and replacing them with the new LED installs.

Testing and Inspections

After the installation was completed, we completed thorough testing and inspections to ensure that all fixtures were safe to use, no loose wiring was left and all unwanted fixtures were removed and disposed of the area. Then, we tested all fixtures to ensure that they worked properly before leaving.
